The Gift of Salvation We believe in salvation by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:). You see, there is nothing you or I can do to be saved ( Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. ) It is all through the crucifiction and resurrection of Jesus Christ, having faith that his perfect blood was shed to wash away our sins. We also believe that once saved, always saved, there is nothing anyone can do to take our salvation away. Revelation 3:20 (Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.) tells us that our sins have already been paid for, we just have to accept the gift of salvation. Jesus Loves You! Romans Road Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Every person to have ever walked the face of this planet is a sinner. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The penalty for sin is death, both physical and spiritual, but God loved us so much that he paid the ultimate price, he sent his only son Jesus Christ (who also loved us so much that he went willingly) to die on that cross for our sins. Everyone physically dies, but not everyone has to spiritually die; are you ready to trust in Jesus Christ today? Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. By verbally acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord over our lives and believing that God raised him from the dead, the Word of God tells us we shall be saved! Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Whosoever...what a great God! This invitation is for anyone, absolutely anyone. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: All that is required to be saved is to pray to Jesus Christ, acknowledge that he is Lord in your life, ask him to forgive you for your sins and cleanse your heart of all unrighteousness and come into your heart and save you. Once you've done that (in your own words) that's it! You're going to heaven. Jesus could return in two minutes, or twenty years, it doesn't matter, when you die you'll be with our Lord Jesus Christ for eternity! If you've decided to make this decision today, we'd like to hear about it, send us an email at info@allencreekbaptist.org. |
